Due to expansion within Portlaoise Enterprise Centre, we are incredibly pleased to introduce Mia Fitzpatrick-Mackay as our new Administrator.

Mia joined us on a six-month Work Placement Experience Program (WPEP) placement in March 2023.  The WPEP scheme was created to give those who have been out of work the experience and training they need to re-enter the work force.  Mia quickly proved themself to be an invaluable addition to the team and has taken responsibility for social media, facilities management, meeting room bookings and general administration.  On the completion of their six-month WPEP placement we were delighted to offer them the position of Administrator which they started on the 11th of September.

Mia has completed QQI Level 6 in Business Management, Level 5 in Business Administration, Level 5 in Applied Social Studies and Level 5 in Disability Advocacy.  An avid volunteer, Mia currently helps with the Midlands LGBT+ Project (holding the position of Co-Chair of Laois Pride 2022-23) and has previously volunteered with the Irish Wheelchair Association.  The experience gained from these studies and voluntary placements has meant that we have gained a new employee with a broad skillset and superb work ethic.
